Does “One- Size-Fits-All”???

A new research reveals that “any training increased productivity by 22%, while training combined with coaching increased productivity by 88%”.

Research has shown that each individual is different and hence all the participants do not grasp the common content being delivered inside classroom training. Hence it is important to have an individualized coaching sessions after the training.

Also research showed that lot of training programmes look very effective inside the classroom as it assumes an ideal environment. The moment the participant leaves the classroom and starts working in real time environment he is unable to apply what he has learnt. The reason being classroom training focuses on ideal situations.

He loses his confidence on himself and over a period his performance reduces. He also starts getting the same feedback on the developmental areas during the performance appraisals. His morale goes down and he leaves the organization. This is one of the factors for the high attrition rates in organization as there is no one to hand-hold the individual after the training.

Hence the overall investments on the training programmes become redundant. However organizations look for re-investing in new training programmes to enhance performance to boost the employee morale as well as achieve the company’s vision.

Our programme is unique as it focuses on behavioral training and coaching on a set of tangible results during a predetermined time frame.

The context of our training programme is “Leadership Transformation” wherein we capture the existing/default patterns of the individual in the present situation through use of our pschycodynamics expertise. Then the participant creates new behaviors to achieve the objectives.

We initially look at what are the objectives required for the person from our training programme. The participant does majority of the work and we facilitate the programme delivery through our psychological literacy.

To sort out this genuine challenge of real time environment, we have developed our unique model of coaching after the training where we provide 3-4 weeks coaching support either physical meetings or telecom support. This helps the participant to encounter real time challenges and take our support to produce his desired result.

This ensures that the training and coaching programme are individual tailored and the people can get coached in the present context of an individual’s work life and builds competence in both personal and professional life. Thus our programmes are aligned to the 88% delivery as cited in the research.
